0 to 1 at Scale
Walking into a messy, high-stakes environment and shaping a global product through design, diplomacy and iteration.
I stepped onto the New York trading floor with no brief, only a mandate to rethink how a global bank’s sales teams and traders created, priced and marketed financial products.
Past efforts had produced shelf-ware; scepticism ran deep. By sketching ideas on paper, prototyping from day one and running weekly demos, I turned that scepticism into co-creation. Together we built Brio—a self-service platform that replaced sprawling spreadsheets and email chains with an intuitive, data-rich interface for designing and analysing investment strategies.
Navigating silos, legacy systems and competing visions took as much diplomacy as design, but the payoff was huge: a live product deployed across BNP Paribas’s global markets division, handling hundreds of billions in transactions and transforming how institutional clients and bank teams collaborate.
